As I advance in my studies at the university, we were given the opportunity to pursue our training for a period between 3-6 months with an accounting firm during our final year. I was very careful in selecting the right accounting firm for this very important assignment.

The so-called big 4 accounting firms were not in my radar screen, as I did not wish to be bogged down with work where I was told that I may not see the daylight during the training period. Certainly, working 24/7 is not my cup of tea.

When McMillan Woods came into my sight, not only was I taken in by the name of the firm but the players and the positive comments received were impressive. Now that I have been with McMillan Woods for some two months, I have thoroughly enjoyed myself, not just the intensive technical training but the soft skills acquired along the way.

This period of training has given me the opportunity to make up my mind to pursue accountancy as a career. Here's a toast to McMillan Woods. Gong Xi Fa Cai!

Graduate recruitment

Graduates who wish to pursue a career in accountancy or tax are invited to apply for a three-year structured training programme with any of our firms worldwide. Trainees are provided with the opportunity for technical and personal development through a comprehensive in-house training and external examination-based tuition.

What are we looking for?
