Malaysia Parkinson’s Disease Association (MDPA) 31st Anniversary Luncheon

Founding president of McMillan Woods Worldwide, Dato’ Seri Dr. Raymond Liew and McM Global Ambassador, Ms. Rachel Hsu Xin were honoured to attend the Malaysian Parkinson’s Disease Association (MPDA) 31st Anniversary Luncheon.

Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, 30 November 2025 – Founding president of McMillan Woods Worldwide, Dato’ Seri Dr. Raymond Liew and McM Global Ambassador, Ms. Rachel Hsu Xin were honoured to attend the Malaysian Parkinson’s Disease Association (MPDA) 31st Anniversary Luncheon on Sunday at the Royal Lake Club, Kuala Lumpur. The invitation was graciously extended by Ms. Sara Lew, President of MPDA.

The luncheon celebrated 31 years of hope, resilience and community, bringing together members, volunteers, caregivers, medical advisers and supporters who have contributed to the growth and continuity of the association. It was a meaningful gathering honouring the long-standing efforts of MPDA in supporting individuals living with Parkinson’s and their families.

One of the most heart-touching moments of the event was witnessing how Parkinson’s patients themselves remained incredibly positive and actively involved in the celebration. Many even volunteered enthusiastically to perform on stage, showcasing their courage, spirit and determination.

Their families were present too—accompanying them to the luncheon with visible love, care and unwavering support. The atmosphere was filled with warmth and unity, reminding everyone of the power of compassion and community.

The programme included the arrival of Guest of Honour, YB Teresa Kok, Member of Parliament for Seputeh, followed by an inspiring welcome speech by MPDA President Sara Lew. YB Teresa Kok also delivered a heartfelt message, commending MPDA for its tireless dedication and highlighting the importance of continued support for the Parkinson’s community.

The celebration continued with award presentations, a cake-cutting ceremony, group photography and special performances by MPDA members—many of whom were living testimonies of strength and resilience.

Dato’ Seri Dr. Raymond Liew and Rachel expressed their gratitude for being part of such a meaningful occasion, reflecting on the touching moments shared and the spirit of unity that filled the room.

The event concluded with a delightful luncheon accompanied by ongoing performances, leaving guests inspired by the courage, optimism and love within the Parkinson’s community.
