Songkhla, Thailand, 8 August 2025 – As part of our ongoing mission to give back to society and support meaningful causes, McMillan Woods Worldwide recently visited Wat Papaakbangtheparam in Songkhla, Thailand. The main objective of this visit was to explore the dire needs to contribute towards the improvement of the temple’s facilities, support the local monastic community and learn from their teachings on meditation and mindfulness.

During the visit, our representatives engaged with the temple community to understand their immediate needs and how external support could help preserve their heritage and strengthen their role in fostering spiritual well-being. The serene environment also provided a profound opportunity for meditation learning, underscoring the importance of balance and mindfulness in both personal and professional lives.

This initiative forms part of a wider fundraising commitment by McMillan Woods Worldwide. Alongside our McM Cares Programme of support for the temple, we are setting a fundraising target of RM300,000.000 for the Malaysia Parkinson’s Disease Association, aimed at improving care and resources for individuals and families affected by Parkinson’s. By aligning our efforts across borders, we hope to create a dual impact: uplifting a spiritual and cultural institution while also addressing critical healthcare needs in Malaysia.

At McMillan Woods Worldwide, we believe that philanthropy extends beyond financial contributions – it is about fostering connections, raising awareness and empowering communities. This initiative reflects our ongoing dedication to the McM Cares Programme, which champions causes that improve lives, preserve heritage and inspire compassion across our global network.
